There are no strangers walking through, no hot-deskers arriving and leaving throughout the day, and no chaotic communal areas. Your dog can settle under your desk and stay there comfortably because the space around them isn't constantly changing.
That's a very different experience to bringing a dog into a large coworking space with hundreds of people coming and going. In a bigger space, even if the policy says dogs are welcome, the reality of navigating shared kitchens, meeting rooms, and hot-desk areas with a dog in tow can be stressful for both of you. Here, you're walking into a room where everyone already knows your dog's name.
How it works in practice
All we ask is that you let us know in advance. There's no formal pet policy and no application form. We just want to make sure your dog is comfortable in a shared environment, and that the other people in the space are happy too. In practice, that's never been an issue. Most of the coworkers here actually enjoy having dogs around, and it's become a natural part of the day for a few people.
Because every desk at RedDeskCo is a fixed, dedicated desk, your dog has a consistent spot. They get used to the same space, the same people, and the same routine. You can bring in a bed, a bowl, a blanket, whatever your dog needs to feel settled. It's your desk and the area around it is yours to set up however works for you, the same as everything else here.
What about the other coworking spaces in Peckham?
A few other coworking spaces in Peckham also allow dogs, including Peckham Levels and Office Club. So RedDeskCo isn't the only option if this is something you need. The difference is really about the kind of environment your dog would be in. Peckham Levels is a large, busy building with hundreds of people, events, a food hall, and a lot going on. Office Club is a hot-desking space, so the people around you change every day.
If your dog is confident, sociable, and happy in busy environments, those spaces might work well. Rolling monthly contracts, 7 days notice to cancel, and everything included in one price.
