There is no coworking space in Nunhead itself. The nearest options are in Peckham, and RedDeskCo is the closest to Nunhead at just over half a mile from Nunhead Green. We are a small, quiet workspace with 14 fixed desks, not a large coworking hub with hot-desking and drop-in visitors. Everyone has their own permanent desk where they can leave monitors, equipment, and personal items set up overnight. The space has been owner-operated since 2019, and most of our members stay for years rather than months.
If you have been working from home in Nunhead and want a proper workspace without travelling far, RedDeskCo is about as local as it gets.
RedDeskCo is at 109 Asylum Road, Peckham, SE15 2LB. From most parts of Nunhead it is a short walk, a quick cycle, or a few minutes on the bus.
Walking takes between 10 and 20 minutes depending on where in Nunhead you are starting from. From Nunhead Green, you would walk along Nunhead Lane towards Peckham Rye, then cut through to Queens Road and down Asylum Road. From Linden Grove or the streets closer to Peckham Rye, it is even shorter.
The P12 bus runs from Nunhead Station along Queens Road and stops on Asylum Road, almost directly outside. That journey takes about 10 minutes including the walk to and from the stop. By bike, the whole thing is about five minutes on flat roads.
Once you get to Queens Road Peckham station, RedDeskCo is a five minute walk straight down Asylum Road. You will see us on the right hand side.
One of the things that makes RedDeskCo different from most coworking spaces is that every desk is fixed. You do not share your desk with anyone else, and you do not need to pack up your things at the end of the day. Members set up their own monitors, desk lamps, and equipment and leave everything in place. Combined with lockable pedestals and 24-hour CCTV, it means your workspace is always ready for you when you arrive.
Desks start at £225 per month for Monday to Friday access, or £290 per month for seven-day access. There is no VAT on top of that, and contracts are rolling monthly with just seven days notice. If you want to try it first, we offer a £100 first-month trial so you can see if the space works for you before committing to the full rate.
